Looking for a Finary alternative?
Finary tracks a portfolio better than we do, and that is worth saying up front. But if your real question sounds more like how much tax do I owe in Luxembourg, or can I actually afford this, you are looking for a different tool.
Stay on Finary if
- You want crypto, property, private equity and precious metals on one screen today. Finary aggregates all of it, we do not yet.
- Your accounts need to sync on their own. Finary advertises more than 20,000 banks, brokers and crypto platforms.
- You buy crypto inside the app and the 1.29% fee suits you.
Move to Avuru if
- You live in Luxembourg, or you work there and live across the border. Six tax simulators are waiting, including tax class and the commuting deduction.
- You want to run your money by talking to Claude, and to be able to say undo that.
- You prefer EUR 5.99 a month to EUR 54.99 taken in one go.
- You want a publisher that earns nothing on your investments.
What each one does for real.
Including the boxes where we are not ready yet. A comparison page that never loses is useful to nobody.
Your accounts, from a conversation.
Finary is something you look at. Avuru is something you look at and also talk to. You generate a key in your settings, paste it once into Claude, and then just ask. How much did I spend on restaurants in July. Add the garage invoice. Move the grocery budget to EUR 400.
Finary does not expose an MCP server. Avuru Connect is part of the Pro plan, and the 14 day trial gives you access.
Luxembourg, not only France.
Finary offers nothing for Luxembourg tax. If you live in Luxembourg, or work there while living across the border, your tax return looks like nobody else's. Six simulators handle that, and they fill themselves from your data if you let them.
Avuru does not replace a tax adviser. These simulators give you an order of magnitude, not a filing.
Knowing where you land in ten years.
At Finary, budgeting starts at EUR 149.99 a year. Here it starts at EUR 15.99 a month, and you can stop the month after. The free tier gives you two accounts with no card. After that EUR 5.99 a month for unlimited accounts, EUR 15.99 for full budgeting and AI, EUR 36.99 for Avuru Connect. Fourteen days of trial on every paid plan, matched to the European withdrawal period so the first charge lands after it closes rather than before.
Payments are not open yet. You can use the free tier right now.

Frequently asked questions
Is Finary free?
There is a free tier, capped at two syncs and two tracked goals. Budgeting, the fee scanner and dividend tracking start on the Plus plan at EUR 149.99 a year.
Does Avuru sync my banks the way Finary does?
Not yet, and we would rather say so here than let you find out after signing up. Automatic PSD2 connection is on the way. Until then you import a PDF statement, a photo, a CSV or an OFX file and Avuru pulls the transactions out, or you enter them by hand.
Does Avuru track crypto and property like Finary?
Not today. Bank accounts and loans work, the other asset classes are coming. On that specific ground, Finary is ahead.
What does Avuru do that Finary does not?
Six Luxembourg tax simulators, control from Claude through Avuru Connect, a FIRE planner with Monte Carlo simulation, and goals ranked by level of need.
How much does Avuru cost next to Finary?
Avuru's free tier gives you two accounts. After that EUR 5.99 a month, EUR 15.99 for full budgeting and AI, EUR 36.99 for Avuru Connect. The yearly prices match Finary's: EUR 54.99, EUR 149.99 and EUR 349.99.
